We are delighted to announce the competition dates for the Eurasian Spelling Bee 2026, an international English lexical skills competition.

Please be informed that the Preliminary Round and Semi-Final Round of the competition will be conducted in two modes: online and paper-based.
However, the World Finals will be conducted exclusively in paper-based format and will take place in Tokyo, Japan, for participants from all countries. Please note that no online exam will be available for the World Finals.

For further details and country-specific arrangements, we kindly request that you contact your country coordinator.

If you are interested in participating in ESB 2026, you should go to the Registration page and contact your country coordinator for further details.

The registration deadline for ESB 2026 is determined by the country coordinator. Registration usually closes at least 10 days before the preliminary round in your country. For more information, please contact your country coordinator.

Date: 28 March – 12 April (Online & Paper-based in your own country). The exam date will be selected by country coordinator.

Date: 30 May – 7 June (Online & Paper-based in your own country). The exam date will be selected by country coordinator.

Date: 28–30 August, Tokyo, Japan. All world finalists will be invited to take the exam paper-based, and no online exam will be available for the world finals.
